About

DTU Aqua – National Institute of Aquatic Resources at Technical University of Denmark – conducts research, provides advice, educates at university level and contributes to innovation in sustainable exploitation and management of aquatic resources.

The staff, who takes part in LTA BOOST, is from the Section for Coastal Ecology. This section conducts research on low trophic organisms in coastal areas, on traditional species (mussels and oysters), and “new” species, such as seaweed, starfish, and crustaceans, in cooperation with industry to enhance sustainability and value of the production.

DTU Aqua has state-of-the-art multi-species hatchery facilities, laboratories, research vessels, and grow out facilities, which will be used in the project.
